The YSRCP workers have physically attacked AP assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasad on Thursday at Sathenapalli.
Kodela, being a contestant, has visited Inimetla village in Rajupalem mandal. and walked straight into the polling booth to check the polling process and closed the doors. Aggrieved over this, the YSRCP activists staged a protest and also raised slogans against the speaker. The situation went out of the control, within a few minutes and a tense situation has been witnessed in the village, when TDP and YSRCP activists have indulged in attacking one another.
Kodela was seriously injured in the war and even his gunman while trying to protect his boss, had to face the injuries. The YSRCP activists reportedly damaged Kodela’s car and as there are no enough police to bring the situation in control, the polling has been stopped for a while and has been resumed only after the additional security has gathered at the location.
Both TDP and YSRCP activists are indulging in similar type of wars, at almost every constituency in Andhra Pradesh. While TDP backed media is showing the fault with YSRCP, it is vice-versa with the Jagan’s backed media. But attacking an MLA candidate from a reputed party has worsened the situation now.
