Apart from winning the seats and forming the government, getting the highest majority for the Party Chiefs in their respected constituencies has now turned as a prestigious issue.
While YSRCP Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to achieve the highest majority in Pulivendula, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the other side, is aiming the same in Kuppam.
But reportedly, the YSRCP circles are planning to cut down the majority of Naidu in Kuppam, thus trying to tell the people that his own constituency people are losing belief on their leader.
Since 1989, Naidu has been contesting in Kuppam assembly constituency and the victory in 2019 elections would be his 7th time. But when the last two terms are to be compared, though Naidu won, his majority drastically came down and so the discussion has raised whether Kuppam result impact would fall on Chittoor MP seat.
MP Mithun Reddy and Nagari MLA Roja extensively campaigned against Naidu in Kuppam. YSRCP activists are opining that the voting percentage is indicating the anti-incumbency and are thus expecting Naidu’s majority would come down in Kuppam too.
But going against such claims, the TDP is opining that the fruits of Naidu government’s schemes like ‘Pasupu-Kumkuma’ have been enjoyed by the public, just before the elections and several other developmental works are expected to act as boon to TDP and thus make Naidu achieve a whooping majority in Kuppam too, along with the rest other parts of the state.
Kuppam constituency has a total of 2,13,146 voters, out of which 1,81,712 have utilized their vote in 2019 assembly and Lok Sabha elections. If at all, Naidu’s majority comes down this time, it would definitely show an impact on the overall result of TDP, the analysts opine. So May 23rd will reveal all the facts which are expected to be surprise to one party and a deep shock to the other.
