The people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are witnessing a verbal fight between leaders of the states over new projects and their share of Krishna water for the past few years. There has been a war of words between the leaders of both states over the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme (RLIS).
In the following row, Telangana Minister Srinivas Goud has passed sensational comments on the late Chief Minister of united AP, Y.S. Rajashekhar Reddy.
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Friday, Mr Goud said YSR had deceived Telangana and ruined the lives of the people and also the political leadership of the state.
He said YSR was also responsible for the death of Congress leader P. Janardhan Reddy who was a powerful opponent. The minister even alleged that YSR humiliated the congress leaders who supported the call for a divided State.
Srinivas Goud said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy turned out to be just like his father YSR and diverted water illegally.
