Former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy, the uncle of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was murdered on March 15, 2019, at his house in Pulivendula. It’s been two years now but there is not much progress in the probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Now, a team of CBI official who reached Pulivendula on Monday questioned two suspects at the Pulivendula R&B guest house in the Kadapa district.
Yerra Gangi Reddy, who is the closest and most important follower of Viveka, was summoned in the morning for questioning. He was accompanied by Viveka’s personal security, SK. Hidayatullah.
Yerra Gangi Reddy, PA Krishna Reddy and cook’s son Prakash were arrested by SIT officials two years ago on charges of tampering with evidence at the scene of Viveka’s murder. Gangi Reddy, who is currently out on bail, was questioned by CBI officials. In the evening, the CBI team examined the surroundings of Viveka’s house for about 3 hours in the presence of Hidayatullah. A few more suspects are expected to be questioned today.
