We all know how determinant the AP government is on the capital decentralization bill and it seems they are very desperate to make Vishakapatnam as executive capital. Many reports came out that Jagan is all set to make Vizag as AP’s primary capital leaving the present capital Amaravati as the judicial capital. Supporting all these claims, the YSRCP government tried to pass the respective bill in the council few days back.
Now, YSRCP Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy made some sensational comments on Jagan’s stand in AP capital issue. Ramchandra Reddy said that the Chief Minister has no thoughts to shift the AP capital to Vizag and also said that the Corona cases would get double or even tripled in July month.
So, the Minster made it clear that curbing the growth of COVID 19 spread is the only target in front of Jagan and he is no mood to make a decision on the AP capital issue. Of course, there are many doubts about Jagan’s impulse to shift his administration to Vizag after he allotted 600 crores to the new capital in the state budget and there are reports that many world-class architects came to Vizag to plan for the government buildings.
But, as per Pedireddy’s words, it is crystal clear that Jagan is not even thinking of shifting AP capital as it is almost an impossible task in this lockdown period and especially when AP is recording its highest spike daily with the substantial increase of COVID-19 cases.
