A newly born Bengal Tiger in Tirupathi zoo was named Jagan after the Andhra Pradesh’s CM YS Jagan. Minister for Energy, Forest and Environment, Science and Technology, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy took the honor of naming the Bengal Tiger as Jagan.
Bengal Tiger couple in Tirupathi zoo, Sameer and Rani were blessed with 5 Tiger cubs. 3 of them are male and 2 are female. The three males were named as Jagan, Vasu and Sidhan while the 2 females were names as Vijaya and Durga.
It is a trend to name airports, regions and major projects on the names of the politicians and it is rare to see a CM’s name for a Tiger cub. May be the officials in the zoo should take extra care for the Tiger cub as it is named after the Andhra Pradesh CM.
YS Jagan must have felt happy about this aspect and Balineni should have got appreciation notes from the politicians in YSRC party.
