Lakshmi’s NTR has been opened to positive reviews, in all the released areas. The film is doing well in overseas and Telangana. But its release was halted in Andhra Pradesh after the high court ordered for a stay.
YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy responded on the issue saying that, Chandrababu Naidu is only willing to showcase Mahanayakudu movie to the audience and not Lakshmi’s NTR for unknown reasons. He intended that Lakshmi’s NTR movie is the legendary NTR’s biopic only and not CBN’s.
Mahanayakudu was only aimed at making Naidu as a hero and thus gain the political mileage for TDP in the upcoming elections. The movie was more about Chandrababu Naidu, than NTR and so it faced an outright rejection from the audience.
Adding to it, at this point of time, stopping Lakshmi’s NTR release in AP, is only worsening TDP’s position in the state, indicating that the film’s content is true. Jagan indirectly stressed on the same point in the campaign, which brought him good response from the public. Is this response, an indication to what YSRCP is going to achieve in the elections?
