Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Education Nara Lokesh urged the youth to seize every opportunity coming their way, stressing that the world is now looking towards Andhra Pradesh. He interacted with IT employees after laying foundation stones for several IT companies at IT Hills in Visakhapatnam.
Lokesh said Visakhapatnam is poised to become the next big technology hub, promising that the government will transform Andhra Pradesh into the “California of the East.” He noted that while it took Hyderabad nearly 35 years to reach its current level of growth, Visakhapatnam would achieve similar progress within the next decade.
He expressed confidence that with youth participation, India will soon emerge as the world’s No.1 economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It’s the youth who will drive India’s growth. You must work hard and make Andhra Pradesh and India proud,” he said.
Lokesh emphasized that the coalition government is working day and night to establish Visakhapatnam as a major IT hub. He said more companies will soon set up operations in the city, creating vast employment opportunities.
Encouraging the youth to contribute to the state’s progress, he said, “The next 15 years belong to us. If we want to see the development we believe in, every one of us must put in our best efforts. Each of you should become brand ambassadors for Visakhapatnam.”
Lokesh also appealed to citizens to keep the city clean and green, aiming to make Visakhapatnam the most beautiful and pollution-free city in India. “Let’s welcome everyone coming here to work in these new companies with warmth and pride,” he said.
