Well, only a very few people had ever dared to do this but yes, an MLA from YCP itself did try this stunt of giving an ultimatum to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh State, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
East Guntur MLA, Mustafa had said that if a bill agaist thr NRC and CAA are not introduced in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly, he will be going to resign to his position.
While all the States are choosing their stand on this issues, either for CAA or against CAA, Jagan Mohan Reddy never went public on his opinion on these. Now everyone knows that it is not in the jurisdiction of any State to accept vor reject the Citizenship Act as the State Federal Law has not right on deciding the Citizenship.
If that is the case, why are we getting the Aadhar issued by Central government and not the State Government?
But, as the State political parties need to show that they support or don’t support either a party, BJP in this case or Modi or Minorities, for the sake of votes.
He made the above statements yesterday in the minorities conference of his constituency. He even gave an assurance to his people that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will not implement such controversial laws in the State.
