The counting of votes for the by-elections to the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh and the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly seat in Telangana began at 8 am today.
YSR Congress candidate Gurumurthy is heading for a huge lead in the Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election. The YCP candidate has been in the lead since the counting of votes began.
Currently, YSR Congress candidate Gurumurthy continues to lead with 2,71,106 votes. So far, the YSRCP candidate has got 6,24,748 votes, TDP candidate Panabaka Lakshmi got 3,53,642 votes, and BJP candidate Ratnaprabha got 56,992 votes.
According to the information received at 6.00 pm, YCP got 56.7 percent, TDP 32.02 percent, and BJP 5.2 percent votes. Another 13,300 voters voted for the NOTA.
