Narasapuram MP and YSRCP member Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has been rebelling against his own party for quite some time now. He has openly been criticising and condemning the decisions taken by his own party.
RRR has objected to the auctioning of TTD lands, the 3 Capital and CRDA Repeal bills, introducing English as the medium of instruction in government schools, and many other decisions taken by the government very openly.
Following his comments, RRR received death threats from MLAs of his own constituency, who threatened to burn him alive, like they did to his effigies. RRR was so threatened that he went to Delhi and told about all the mishaps that have been happening to him to the Lok Sabha speaker and Union Home Minister. He requested them to grant him security so that he can return to AP and tour his constituency.
RRR has now been granted Y category security, which will be assigned to him in the next couple of days. Following this, he is expected to tour his constituency of Narasapuram. It is also important to note that the Central Government does not simply allot a person with personal security, it investigates into everything and gathers the facts before doing so. Hence, this might mean that there’s truth to the claims that RRR has been making against YSRCP so far.
On the other hand, with RRR being sanctioned security, the political scenario in AP is about to change and become more intense. It will be interesting to see what all will happen in the future.
