The Space Force’s mysterious X-37B spaceplane landed back on Earth after spending a record-breaking two and a half years (908 days) in orbit. It landed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, November 12th at 5:22 AM ET, marking its sixth successful mission so far.
The X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle launched by America was developed by Boeing. The company claims that this time it has broken the previous record of 780 days spent in orbit. The space force did not disclose key details of the mission. This time, it also carried a service module to increase the number of payloads.
The necessary experiments were carried out by the US Naval Research Laboratory. It traveled a total of 1.3 billion miles on its journey. A total of 3,774 days were spent in space.
