There are about 16 Corporations in Andhra Pradesh that are going for elections. He had announced that of this 16 seats, he is going to give 8 seats i.e 50% reservation for Women to hold Mayor position. This comes as a huge boost for the party’s female cadre who already call him fondly as “Jagan Anna”.
Srikakulam (BC/Woman), Vijayanagaram (BC/Woman), Visakhapatnam (BC/General), Rajahmundry (General), Kakinada (General/Woman), Eluru (General/Woman), Vijayawada (General/Woman), Machilipatnam (General/Woman), Guntur (General), Ongole (SC/Woman), Nellore (ST/General), Tirupati (General/Woman), Chittoor (SC/General), Cuddapah (BC/General), Anantapur (General), Kurnool (BC/General) are the quotas being under consideration.
