In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old woman in Tamil Nadu had cut her tongue off and offered it to a temple deity to fulfil her vow after Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) won the assembly elections.
The woman DMK supporter had vowed in a temple that she would offer her tongue to God after the DMK comes into power in the 2021 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
The woman has been identified as Vanitha. She was found at the entry of a local Muthalamman temple in Paramakudi in Tamil Nadu’s Ramanathapuram district. The locals rushed her to the hospital after they found her waiting outside as the temple was not opened yet.
This is the second strange incident that happened in Tamil Nadu this year. On April 4, a couple of days before polling, a DMK fan had cut off one of his fingers of his left hand while praying at the temple, to secure victory to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and to make Stalin the Chief Minister of the state.
