Andhra Pradesh State already has a Chief Minister right now. Then why would someone say they wish to see a female in the position of Chief Minister? And that too somebody from the same party YSRCP which is the ruling party of Andhra currently. These statements came from YCP leader and industrialist Potluri Prasad (PVP).
He had made a tweet recently saying this. As the netizens started commenting that he must have said it directing to YSRCP only, he had later deleted the tweet.
But the comments and discussion on the topic did not stop with that. He later explained that he made the tweet on the occasion of Supreme Court of India passing order that Indian Army should start appointing female commanders.
He basically tweeted saying that India is going forward leaving behind the old traditions that have no relevance to today’s date of male officers not wanting to listen to female officers.
Back then NTR gave equal rights to women in ancestral property. So now we also shall try to give equal opportunities as even female Chief Minister too, he said.
