Ever since Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan rejected the nomination of Padi Kaushik Reddy as MLC under the Governor’s quota, a gap emerged between her and the Chief Minister, KCR. Very famously, the TRS government went ahead to even present the budget session for FY 2022-23 without the governor’s speech first.
KCR, who regularly visited the Raj Bhavan on National days, when Narasimhan was the governor, stopped doing so in recent times. While the CM has not made any efforts so far, to salvage the relationship with the governor, the governor has made an attempt now, by inviting CM KCR to join her in Ugadi celebrations, at Raj Bhavan.
As of now, there’s no information of whether or not the CM plans to join the governor in the celebrations, but political analysts are of the opinion that if the CM does go to the celebrations, then it would be a great step in salvaging his relationship with the governor, at least officially. With the ball now being in KCR’s court, it is now to be seen whether he will bridge the gap with the governor or not.
