When the Adipurush movie released, Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Ravana received heavy trolling due to the way director Om Raut depicted the character. Saif avoided promotions after the release, even skipping the grand pre-release event in Tirupati.
Though Adipurush was multilingual, Saif is treating Devara as his official Telugu debut, indicating his preference for the latter. In Devara, Saif plays Bhaira, a character with notable depth as shown in the trailer.
Koratala Siva’s direction gives the role strong action sequences and elevation moments, placing Bhaira in significant focus alongside Jr. NTR. Saif has been actively promoting the film, participating in the trailer launch in Mumbai and interviews, fully supporting the team’s publicity efforts.
Unlike in Adipurush, Saif will appear in both parts of Devara. Though he won’t have a dual role like Jr. NTR, he will show two distinct shades, expected to be a major highlight. His performance may lead to more South Indian film offers post-release.
