After his debut film, Akhil – The power of Juah bombed at the box office, Akhil Akkineni was seen in romantic dramas namely Hello and Mr Majnu. But the young actor is yet to taste sizeable success at the box office. His next film, Most Eligible Bachelor is a romantic drama as well and we have to wait till it releases to see if Akhil will score a much-needed hit with this Bommarillu Bhaskar directorial.
Interestingly, Akhil is changing his route for his next project which will be directed by Surender Reddy.
Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi have apparently prepared a spy thriller subject for Akhil. The young Akkineni hero will be seen as a special officer who takes on a group of terrorists. This genre has been rarely explored in Tollywood and moreover, neither Surender Reddy not Akhil have worked on a subject like this in the past. So, this film can be considered as an experiment of sorts.
It is said that Surender Reddy is blending action with entertainment for this film, much like the way he did with ‘Kick’ and ‘Race Gurram’.
Akhil and Surender Reddy are working on a subject that neither of them are familiar with and only time will tell if this experiment will workout.
