It’s known that controversial director Ram Gopal Varma attended the investigation at the Ongole Police station regarding the multiple cases filed against him. Incidentally, he was accompanied by the YCP leaders on the same.
The case pertains to manipulated images shared by Varma during the promotion of his film Vyuham. The posts reportedly depicted then-opposition leader and current CM Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, and Jana Sena Party President and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in a controversial manner.
The complaint was lodged by M. Ramalingam, a local TDP leader from Maddipadu, following which the police registered a case and issued notices to Varma.
On Friday, Varma was accompanied by several YSRCP leaders, including Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, as he appeared before the police. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
