This is the time for biopics irrespective of the languages. Now in Tamil, a biopic with the title Thalaivi is being made on former actress and Chief Minister Jayalalitha who few years back breathed her last. She was a phenomena in Tamil land and her biopic which has Kangana Ranaut playing the titular role is one of the most awaited.
Few weeks back, first look of the film got released and received to positive response. It is well known that legendary Telugu actor NTR shares great rapport with Jayalalitha and her guru MGR. So there needs to be his role in the movie. Makers of the film has approached Jr NTR to reprise the role of his grand father.
NTR on many occasions has made it clear that he will not be acting as his grand father whatever the project might be. He doesn’t have the capacity to fill in the shoes of the legendary actor is what NTR feels. Then the makers approached Balakrishna too, who recently acted as NTR in Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu.
Both the films ended up as disasters and Balakrishna said to have taken an oath not to touch NTR or his films again. So the senior actor has denied the role too.
Wonder whom will makers of Thalaivi approach now.
