Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared in front of the special court of CBI in Hyderabad on Friday to face the ongoing trial in the quid pro quo investments cases against him. He was led into the court amid tight security in the wake of the ongoing protests happening in Amaravati.
After missing the court for 33 weeks straight, Jagan was finally notified by the court that being the Chief Minister can’t be an exemption for not attending the session.
From now on, Jagan should attend the CBI Court in Nampally every Friday without any fail. But the second prominent person in the YSR Congress Party, Vijay Sai Reddy, who is also charged as the A2 is trying his to best to handle this critical situation.
It is being said from the YSRCP party sources that Vijay Sai Reddy will meet Modi so that he can take the help of the Prime Minister as it looks like the bail they obtained will get cancelled.
Many believe that the even an independent authority like CBI is in the hands of Modi and he is capable of bringing some influence on them.
Word from the grapevine is – If Jagan accepts to join NDA, Modi will take care of the disproportionate cases against Jagan as well. Let’s see whether Modi will become the saviour of the YSRCP or not.
