The TDP cadre in Kurnool district is not in its good senses as there are many internal differences that arose in the party. Mainly Bhuma Nagireddy’s family is not in unison and after Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won in 2017 bye-elections, their situation in their region is not at all in a good state.

Former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya helped his brother Brahmananda Reddy in that prestigious battle between TDP and YSRCP. In 2019 general elections Naidu was not in a mood to give the ticket to Brahmananda Reddy and Akhila Priya also stood silent and didn’t even try to convince Naidu.

However, Brahmananda Reddy fought lonely for the ticket and said that he will contest as an Independent with Naidu’s photo if he was not given the ticket and forced the TDP Chief to give him the ticket. Apparently, Brahmananda Reddy lost and many people say that it was due to Akhila Priya’s lack of support as she wanted her own brother Jagadvyikhyat Reddy to grow politically stronger in both Aallagadda and Nandyal.

Now, calculating all these circumstances this ex TDP MLA from the Bhuma family, Brahmananda Reddy is looking to defect from TDP. It is known that the Bhuma Reddy family dedicated themselves to TDP all these years and a person ditching the party at this crucial stage is definitely a daring step.

Now, it is being said that Brahmananda Reddy is in talks with District in-charge minister and a YSRCP MLA. In addition to these, Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy’s uncle is Banaganipalli MLA Katasani Rami Reddy and there is pressure for him to join the YSRCP. So, let’s see how it goes.
