The Telangana Congress has taken everyone by surprise in these elections, by gaining a huge vote margin against the BRS, which has enjoyed an undefeated rule for the past ten years. This has come as a shock to the BRS candidates who expected to repeat their rule in the state for another five years, with no competition.
There is no doubt in the fact that the Congress party left no stone unturned when it came to campaigning ahead of the elections and releasing a manifesto that catered to the needs of the people of Telangana. This is the first time that the Congress party will be forming a government in Telangana after the formation of the state in 2014.
Having said that, it is going to be a momentous occasion for the party, and, interestingly, an official CM candidate from the party hasn’t been announced yet. While Revanth Reddy seems to be the obvious option, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is also said to be in the forefront to becoming the CM candidate of Congress. Let’s see who will ultimately turn out to be the Congress’s CM candidate.
