There is still a lot of suspense on whether Modi-Shah will approve the abolition of the AP Council. The immediate issue is that the BJP needs the support of CM Jagan Reddy in passing the Bills in Parliament. Already, YCP has supported several BJP bills in the past. YCP MPs will pressurize Modi to help abolish the AP Council.
But it is also of the opinion that Modi-Shah is not entirely dependent on YCP even in Rajya Sabha. They have now got enough numbers in the Upper House to pass their bills without the support of parties like YCP.
Already, Modi-Shah is not taking care of Jagan Reddy, which is why they are not giving him appointments for more than 3 months. On the other hand, mass fighters can use their alliance with BJP to pressurize the Center against the abolition of Pawan Kalyan Parishad.
Another speculation is that the BJP is not ready to take full enmity with the YCP at this point. The party is more inclined to gain a foothold in AP politics. It wants to let the political crisis deepen until there is scope to implement its strategies. In that case, the Modi cabinet may approve the abolition bill of the AP Council.
But then the BJP will deliberately delay the introduction of the bill in Parliament. Some say that it will take one or two years to pass this bill. Either way, Jagan will strategically have no benefit other than his psychological satisfaction.
