West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that she is the watchman, and if someone comes to take away the rights of the people, she will have to go through their corpse for this.
Banerjee said that she would do everything to protect the people of the state as long as the protest against the revised citizenship law and the National Citizenship Register was necessary to continue.
We will not live on anybody’s mercy. I will not let anyone take away our authority, She said at a public meeting on the western side of the Sundarbans forests. Mamta Banerjee said I am your watchman, if someone comes to take away your rights, then he has to go through my corpse.
During this, Mamta once again claimed that she would not allow CAA, NPR, and NRC to implemented in her state. Let me tell you that Mamata Banerjee has been opposing citizenship law and NRC since the beginning.
Recently, Banerjee said that BJP is trying to take away the citizenship of legitimate citizens of the country. She said that she would not allow updating of National Population Register (NPR), which has already been stopped by her government.
