Chief Minister YS Jagan told the union leaders of the Vizag steel plant that he will not allow POSCO to set up a plant in the lands of the Vizag Steel plant. He will not allow the steel plant to be privatized. The leaders met Jagan at the airport on his way to Visakhapatnam. They have discussed the issue of privatization of steel with the CM. The meeting lasted for about 20 minutes. The union leaders presented their request letter to Jagan.
As per the information from union leaders, on this occasion, YS Jagan said that he hoped the central government would change its decision by God’s grace. He also said that he will not allow POSCO to enter Visakhapatnam. The union leaders, on the other hand, told the CM that their struggle would not stop until the central government takes back its decision.
