It is known that a nine-member delegation led by Megastar Chiranjeevi has met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the movie ticket price issues in the CM Camp office today.
During the meeting with the Tollywood delegation, CM Jagan said that the state government tried to provide good pricing for the tickets that justifies all kinds of cinemas.
The CM also recognised that big-budget movies should be treated separately and the state should notify special rates for a whole week for such kinds of big-budget films.
“Big-budget movies should be looked at separately. If we do not look at them with special emphasis, no one will come forward to make such huge films involving the latest technology, innovation, and at such high costs. When they are made with a large budget of over Rs 100 crore, putting aside the remuneration of the cast and crew, we should notify special rates for a whole week.”
The Chief Minister also offered to allot land to TFI if they intend to move
Visakhapatnam. “We will allot lands in Visakhapatnam and we would want you to slowly shift your focus here too. Andhra Pradesh contributes more to the film industry than Telangana,” Jagan said.
