It seems, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is aiming to set a record for being offered the highest number of slaps from the public.
Kejriwal had to face bitter experience from the public, several times in the past. When he was campaigning for the elections some time ago, a man from the crowd reached out to the Delhi CM, and offered a garland and later slapped. The video went viral in those days. Adding to it, on November last year, a man attacked Kejriwal with Chilli powder, that too at the Delhi Secretariat, which again disturbed the political atmosphere in Delhi.
In a fresh incident, while performing a road show in Delhi’s Moti Nagar, a youth suddenly jumped on to the campaigning vehicle and slapped the Chief Minister and within no time, he jumped off the vehicle. But the man was caught and is now in the police custody and the investigation is on.
The police revealed that the youth was identified as Suresh, 33. He deals in spare parts at Kailash Park.
Responding to the issue, AAP tweeted, “Another negligence in the security of CM @ArvindKejriwal. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal got attacked during the roadshow. We condemned this cowardly act. This opposition sponsored attack cannot stop the Aam Aadmi in Delhi.”
