Megastar Chiranjeevi scored the biggest hit of his career this year with Waltair Veerayya, which was released for Sankranthi this year. Directed by Bobby, the film featured Shruti Haasan as the leading lady, while Ravi Teja was seen in a key role, as the brother of Chiru. The music for the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
The film completed a successful 200-day theatrical run on Monday, which the film’s team celebrated with a shield. Chiru and Ravi Teja were present at the event, thus reuniting after a gap. Waltair Veerayya turned out to be a grand success upon release because director Bobby managed to tap into the vintage glory of Chiru, which fans have missed for so long.
On the other hand, Chiru is currently gearing up for his second release of the year, Bholaa Shankar, which is scheduled to be released on August 11th. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Vedhalam, and is directed by Meher Ramesh. Keerthy Suresh will be seen as Chiru’s sister in this film, in which Tamannaah is the leading lady.
