Even though the wine shop owners, ask their customers to form the queues, not many will follow the instructions and try to compete with one another to get their work done. Seeing such huge crowd, a few people may consider going to another store and a few others would indulge in unnecessary fights, that disturbs the entire environment.
Only to avoid such situations, the Telangana government has come up with a new strategy. It permitted the TS excise department to set up the “Walk-in wines” in Hyderabad on the lines of supermarkets, through which the customers will have the facility of picking up the bottles of their choice on their own.

The shop owner is supposed to pay a special excise tax of Rs. 500000, along with the regular license tax. So the total amount, an owner is supposed to pay for the excise officials is Rs. 2.30 Crore. It should be seen, how the new way of selling liquor will work out in a huge city like Hyderabad.
