Andhra Pradesh Government is quite serious on liquor addiction. YSRC Government decided to bring down the addiction levels in the state and the lock down time turned to their advantage. There has been talks in the people that few areas were allowing liquor transactions at higher rates. YS Jagan initiated surprise checks in the areas where locals complain about such incidents.
Vizag Pendurthi region turned out to be one of them and 3 excise department officials were suspended for allowing such illegal transactions. It seems that a liquor store in Pendurthi is selling the goods at higher rate and the locals reported it to the teams. Police officials in that region conducted a surprise check and caught them red handed. The case moved to the respective excise officials of Gajuwaka and Pendurthi.
They were immediately suspended and were asked to report in the head office for further discussions. Lock down period is helping the AP Government to find the corrupted officials to take the required action.
