The Telangana High Court had issued a stay order on YS Avinash Reddy’s arrest by the CBI, and asked the CBI not to arrest Avinash until April 25th. It directed Avinash to appear before the CBI every day till April 25th. This is regarding the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy.
Now, Viveka’s daughter, Suneetha Reddy has approached the Supreme Court challenging the stay order by the Telangana High Court. The case was heard in the SC on Thursday, but the result is not known yet.
The CBI expedited the process of Viveka’s murder investigation after the SC ordered them to wrap up the case by April 30th. Viveka was murdered at his residence in Pulivendula on March 15, 2019, just a few days before elections. With Suneetha now challenging the Telangana HC’s order, it is to be seen what will happen.
