The trailer of Vishwak Sen’s Dhamki has been released by Balakrishna. The trailer does look visually compelling, but there’s a big catch here.
The trailer implies that Dhamki is a mere replica of Gopichand’s Gowtham Nanda. The plot and the set-up of Dhamki look like a carbon copy of the Gopichand film. We get the impression that we are watching a replica of Gowtham Nanda while watching Dhamki’s trailer.
Gowtham Nanda is readily available for streaming on YouTube and OTT. Wonder how Vishwak felt he could get away by doing film exactly like that one. Moreover, he is directing and also producing the film. And also he is giving it a pan India release.
We will get more clarity on the merits and demerits of Dhamki next January when the film gets a pan India release.
