Vishnu Manchu’s highly anticipated film Kannappa is set to release worldwide on April 25, 2025. The announcement was made during a visit to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, where Vishnu was accompanied by his father Mohan Babu, actor Sarathkumar, and director Mukesh Kumar Singh.
Kannappa, a mythological epic, tells the story of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotee, showcasing themes of bravery and devotion. The film features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, with Akshay portraying Lord Shiva and Vishnu taking on the title role.
With one of the highest budgets in Indian cinema, Kannappa aims for a broad release across multiple languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. The filmmakers have already released first look posters and a teaser.
The production involves international collaboration with Hollywood technicians and will showcase stunning visuals filmed in locations like New Zealand. As part of their promotional strategy, the team plans to visit all twelve Jyotirlingas before the film’s release.
