A youthful film titled, Virgin Story, starring Vikram Sahidev and Sowmika Pandiyan in the lead role under the direction of Pradip B Atluri is out for public viewing today. Let’s analyse it.
Story:
Vikram( Vikram Sahidev) and Priyanshi (Sowmika) who meet at a pub decide to hook up for a nightstand by not revealing their actual identity to each other. This is the time Vikram and Priyanshi get close. Later, what kind of circumstances will the young couple face in their night journey? Forms the crucial crux of the film.
On-screen performances:
Both Vikram Sahidev and Sowmika gave a decent performance as the lead pair. The on-screen chemistry between them is adorable and elevates mood of the film nicely. As the film is a youthful drama, many new faces made their silver screen debut and all of them did their part decently.
Off-screen talents:
Director Pradip B Atluri’s main theme of exploring youthful elements is good, his narration struggles from a rushed up narration and uneven screenplay.
While editing work is okay, the cinematography is apt for the film’s genre. Photography by Tharun Kumar is good as he tried to present the film on a rich note. Production values for this limited budget movie are good.
