Indian captain Virat Kohli has added another feather to his cap that he become the first cricketer to cross 100 million followers on Instagram. The 32-year-old is now the first Asian celebrity and fourth-most followed sports person on the popular social networking platform.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the new milestone for Kohli on Twitter and wrote: “Virat Kohli – the first cricket star to hit 100 million followers on Instagram.”
Apart from the photo-sharing platform, the run machine also has a huge following on social media platforms like Twitter with 40.8 million followers and Facebook with over 36 million.
Portugal football captain Cristiano Ronaldo is top of the chart with 265 million followers, followed by Ariana Grande (224 m) and Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) (220 m), Kylie Jenner (218 m), Selena Gomez (213 m), Kim Kardashian (207 m), Lionel Messi (187 m), Beyonce (167 m), Justin Bieber (164 m) and Kendall Jenner (153 m) are on the list of top 10.
