The Indian team, led by Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj, landed in the UK on Thursday. Both the Men’s and Women’s team had flown in the same chartered flight, and this is the first in history. The teams will serve a straight 10-day quarantine.
The Men in Blue will play against Kane Williamson led New Zealand in the ICC WTC Final at Southampton starting June 18.
Notably, both men’s and women’s team will be playing in the UK for the next two months. While Virat and his team play a 5-match Test series against England, the women’s team will play a one-off day and 3-match ODI and T20I series.
The team members of both men and women teams have also been permitted to be accompanied by their families. The BCCI & ECB managed authorisations for the families from the UK Government.
