Nirup Bhandari gets a meaty role and the actor did justice to it. Especially, his makeover during the climax portions comes as a surprise element of the film.
Ravishankar Gowda did his key role nicely and brings a realistic texture to the screen. Young beauty Neetha Ashok did her part quit effectively. Other supporting artists who did key roles are apt in their respective roles.
Off-screen talents:
The cinematography work from William David is outstanding as the photographer showcased the entire film on an impressive note with his good lighting setup.
Music by B Ajaneesh Loknath is fine. While all the song are passable on screen, his background score during the key second half proceedings register well. Editing by Ashik Kusugolli is okay but he would have chopped off close to ten minutes unwanted scenes in the first half for a better viewing experience.
Coming to Anup Bhandari, the director has came up with a fresh point and wrote the scene order on a proper but he would have locked a crisp runtime by avoiding a few unwanted episodes in the first half.
Positive Points:
- Premise
- Sudeep’s screen presence
Negative Points:
- Slow-paced narration
- A couple of unwanted episodes in the first half
Verdict:
In an overview, Vikrant Rona is a passable Adventurous thriller that has good twists and turns in the second half. While Sudeep and other artists performed well, the lag portions during the initial stage stand tall as demerits for Vikrant Rona.
