Vikas Dubey is a name that has been trending in India for the past one week at least, for his atrocities against the Uttar Pradesh Police. However, the crime record of Vikas Dubey extends back to more than once decade, starting off in the 1990s.
Vikas Dubey’s crime life spanned thirty years, which included 62 cases, of which 5 were of murder, and now, this most wanted crminal is dead, shot to death in a police encounter.
When a group of policemen had earlier planned to take Vikas Dubey by surprise and arrest him, Vikas Dubey and his gang had killed 8 policemen in cold blood, and planned to burn their bodies using petrol, so that no one would be able to trace them.
However, all of Vikas’s plans were destroyed when his men were captured slowly and encountered by the police, before his turn came around. Vikas Dubey was arrested just last night, and before his encounter, a few interesting things came to light.
Vikas Dubey had reportedly gotten information about his planned arrest beforehand, because of which he was able to kill 8 policemen. He reportedly said that he made sure that he wouldn’t be arrested after the information he received, and made sure he was ready before the attack.
After his arrest, Vikas Dubey was being taken to Kanpur by police convoy, during which he tried to escape. As a result, the convoy had overturned, resulting in Vokas threatening to kill the policemen in front of him, which resulted in an encounter of the criminal. In the process, 4 policemen were injured, out of which 3 are now said to be stable. On the other hand, Dubey had three bullet injuries on the chest, and one on his arm.
Now, speculations are rife that this was a planned encounter, and not an accident, as the police department was scared that some really ugly truths about the department would come out if Vikas Dubey was made to speak. This is not the first time that an intentional encounter is being made to seem as an encounter, there have been many such incidents in the past.
