It is not new for political parties to throw blame on each other and speak ill of the other. However, situations in AP politics have changed ever since the YSRCP came to power. Political wars have gone to the next level, with politicians using derogatory terms for people belonging to other parties. Social media platforms usually take centre stage for this, apart from the real-life thing.
In a similar incident, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy attacked AP BJP members on Twitter, saying that the people of AP are laughing at the way the BJP is behaving in the state. To this, BJP AP President, Somu Veerraju replied strongly. Somu said that the BJP will win in the upcoming Tirupati by-elections by telling the people what the party has done for the state. He also said that the YSRCP is trying to manipulate the judiciary and that he would send cabbages to Vijayasai Reddy, which he could use for cooking when he goes to jail.
On the other hand, the BJP and Jana Sena parties have announced Ratna Prabha as their candidate for the Tirupati by-elections, and she filed her nomination today. YSRCP’s Gurumurthy also filed his nomination today. TDP’s Panabaka Lakshmi has already filed her nomination a few days ago, and the campaign for the by-elections is going on competitively in Tirupati.
