Not an overnight success
It is not an overnight success to Vijay Devarakonda. He faced many hurdles in the initial days of his career. The young hero had to play small roles in the films like Nuvvila, Life is Beautiful that has no significance. He was later offered a key role in Evade Subramanyam film.
As the role has a lot of significance, Vijay got an opportunity to reveal all his emotions through it, which were well appreciated by the audiences. It was then he was able to grab the main lead role in Pelli Choopulu, that became an instant success.
Arjun Reddy- A major turning point
After Pelli Choopulu became a good hit, Vijay Devarakonda fell in the eyes of several filmmakers and he was offered over half-a-dozen films. It is Arjun Reddy, the immediate release after Pelli Choopulu that changed Vijay’s career forever. He never had to look back again after the film, as Arjun Reddy fever stayed back with the youth for long. The young people were in awe of Vijay and followed his attitude, which was similar to what he exhibited in Arjun Reddy.
Early career
Vijay Devarakonda was born on May 9th, 1989, to Devarakonda Govardhan Rao and Madhavi. Their native is Atchampet in Nagarkurnool district. Highly passionate of films, Govardhan Rao shifted his base to Hyderabad. He initially aimed to become a hero but later settled down in the direction department. He directed a few of the serials in Dooradarshan.
Vijay tested his luck by playing several stage dramas in his early career and he found it extremely difficult to get an offer in the films.
The impact of Arjun Reddy was so huge that even after the series of flops like Dwaraka, Ye Manthram Vesave etc., his craze has not even come down by an inch. The success of Geetha Govindam, Taxiwala gave him an identity of a versatile hero.
Non-film attempts
Apart from the films, Vijay is also involved in social programs like Swachh Hyderabad, for which he is also a brand ambassador. Adding to it, he also entered into the clothing business and introduced a brand called “Rowdy”, which has instantly gone viral among the youths.
Intending to encourage the aspiring actors, Vijay also launched a banner called “King of the Hills”, through which he will be producing the films with the new talented youth. He is truly a living example of what all a human being can achieve, if he or she is really committed to something in life.
