Sensational actor Vijay Deverakonda is all set to treat the audience with his upcoming film ‘Liger’ on August 25th. Ahead of the pan-India release, the Rowdy actor has been travelling to parts of India to promote his flick on a large scale.
As part of the movie promotions, Vijay Deverakonda recently had a chat session with director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmme Kaur, where the trio revealed many interesting things about the making of Liger.
In the interview, the Arjun Reddy star spoke about his physical transformation for Liger. “It took me almost like 1 and a half years, eating clean and working out every day, which included the pandemic to get this physique,” Vijay said.
VD also revealed that he stopped consuming alcohol and sugar and worked out in the gym with a level of commitment to get the desired body.
“After working out for 6 months, I was still not happy with my shape. I had an image in my mind and I haven’t achieved it yet. So, I asked them to begin the movie with scenes which don’t require me to show off my body. I would keep asking them for more time as I was still not happy with how I was. As an actor, we have timelines to push. As an actor, I wanted to look like a bodybuilder. But need to move like a fighter. So what I was doing was working like 4 hours a day, which includes heavy weight training and immediately 1 and half hour of fight training,” Vijay added.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.
It took a lot of effort with Mental and Physical Training to transform from The Rowdy Boy to #LIGER
