The United States has good news for those who have been fully vaccinated against the deadly Covid-19. The country has lifted travel restrictions on international travellers coming from various countries, including India. This will come into effect from the 8th of this month.
However, they will have to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test before boarding a flight to the country.
According to an official statement, the CDC has determined that for purposes of travel to the country, vaccines accepted will include FDA approved and World Health Organisation (WHO) emergency use listed (EUL) vaccines.
The statement has also said that the airline companies must not allow passengers who do not meet these requirements. To further strengthen protections, unvaccinated travellers will now need to test within one day of departure.
