In the wake of the severity of the second phase of Covid-19, the US government has imposed restrictions on visitors. The US Embassy in Delhi has suspended all other types of visa services except emergency visas at consulates in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad from May 3 this year.
Amid these circumstances, students who want to pursue in the US are worried about visa openings.
Now, US Counselor for Consular Affairs, Don Heflin said the visa process would resume Monday at four consulates, including the embassy, as the second phase of the coronavirus in the country is declining in intensity.
The United States Mission to India will open the July and August student visa appointments at posts across India on June 14, the U.S Embassy in India announced on Thursday via Twitter. It has been decided to give priority in issuing visas to students attending classes starting in July and August this year.
