American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA), a USA-based organization has been carrying out various philanthropic activities over the past 11 years.
The association has been arranging for primary education of over 5000 underprivileged children in India under their Student Education Program with an objective of helping the poor and needy Telugu students in their educational expenses.
Since the onset of Covid pandemic, APTA is putting in its best efforts to support the Covid relief efforts in India.
Now, they have made a substantial donation to Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Oxygen Bank program, through which he is supplying oxygen cylinders to those in need in the twin Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Ravi Varre and Sekhar Puli who are APTA members have made a sizeable donation for the cause. They have combinedly donated a sum of Rs 10 lakh to the ‘Memu Saitam’ fundraiser which was organized by APTA to financially support Chiranjeevi’s Oxygen Bank program.
Siva Yerramsetty, Shree Yerramsetty and Srikanth Jetti are other members that contributed a sizeable amount for this cause.
Many APTA members are coming forward and making contributions. It’s good to see US NRIs are coming forward to do their part for Covid relief efforts in India.
Apart from their Student Education Program, this is one of the biggest donations to the philanthropic project since its inception and it really is an appreciable act.
