The United States has issued directives lifting travel restrictions on several countries, including India. The country will lift all travel restrictions for incoming non-citizen, non-immigrant travellers from November 8, with only limited exceptions. The travellers will be required to be fully vaccinated and produce proof of their COVID-19 vaccination before boarding a flight to the country.
The United States has imposed restrictions on foreign travel for the first time since the spread of the coronavirus around the world last year.
“We are lifting the sanctions imposed during the Covid-19 in the interests of America. We are prioritizing the revival of vaccine-based international air travel,” said President Joe Biden.
Exemption for a vaccination with health problems is the same as for children under the age of 18. It has eased sanctions for travellers from about 50 countries where the vaccination rate is less than 10 percent. Passengers must submit an RTPCR test negative report within 72 hours of departure.
The White House announced in September the lifting of restrictions on several countries. It also outlines the procedures that airlines must follow regarding the full range of vaccinations for foreign travellers.
