In an unfortunate incident Ramcharan’s wife Upasana lost her parental grandfather yesterday night in Apollo hospital.
Upasana Kamineni Konidela’s grandfather and Kamineni head Umapathy Rao Kamineni, father of Upasana’s dad Anil Kamineni, left his last breath yesterday night. He was 92-year-old and had been unwell for some time because of age related illnesses. Umapathy Rao was conceived at Domakonda fort. He had served the nation as an IAS official and resigned.
Upasana had a great bonding and attachment with her granddad. She affectionately calls him as Uma Thatha. Since few days, she has been with her grandpa at Apollo medical clinic and been taking care till the last.
She became emotional with the death of Umapati Rao and shared the sad news of his demise in social media. Upasana in a bid to pay tribute to her loving grandfather wrote, “Umapathy Rao of The Erstwhile Samasthan of Domakonda – IAS 15th June 1928 to 27th May 2020 witnessed the struggle of Razakar movement, India’s fight for freedom & many more historic events. An Urdu Poet know for his Shayari & the first Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam was a strong believer in the religion of kindness & generosity. Our grandfather was a man of great principles, selflessness, generosity & sense of humour. His rich long life, achievements & many acts of kindness will be celebrated & remembered by all.
She requested everyone to to show love with a smile rather than tears. And appealed to instil the strength to make his journey peaceful.
