Unnao rape victim’s last rites have been performed today amidst of the family members and also a few officials from the Uttar Pradesh government. As the rape victim’s family has threat from the accused the government has ordered for a round the clock security and also a licensed gun to the family.
Adding to it, even a government job for the victim’s sister and two houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been ordered to allot to the family. The rape victim’s family agreed to perform last rites only after all the assurances from the state government.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is under severe pressure amid public’s demand for his resignation over the rape victim’s death. Recollecting the encounter of culprits in Disha’s case, Unnao rape victim’s father has demanded to implement the similar kind of justice even in his daughter’s case.
The woman was gang raped in December last year. While she had been fighting for justice since then, the accused set her ablaze on recent Thursday in a broad daylight.
