Much to the shock of many, Ramdas Athawale, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, has requested TRS and YSRCP to join the NDA government at the Centre.
Speaking to the media, he said that the NDA has won a whopping 353 seats in Parliament and so it requires no support from any party at this stage. But the doors of the party will be open for those who are willing to join.
The leader of the Republican Party of India (A) said that it will be in the interest of both the Telugu states- Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, if TS Chief Minister KCR and AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy joins the national party.
Referring to KCR’s attempts in forming the Federal Front at the Centre, Athawale said, “I want to tell KCR that there is no meaning in starting another ‘gathbandhan’.”
He further advised Jagan not to repeat the mistake committed by the ex-Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who went against NDA and finally got rejected by AP people in the recent assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Keeping KCR aside, it should be noted that Jagan attained a massive majority in the elections and the people of Andhra Pradesh completely ignored BJP, though the other parts of the country were in awe of the national party. At this point of time, if Jagan considers joining NDA, then it would be a blunder mistake from his side and might also face severe negativity from the public too.
