Undavalli Arun Kumar is such a transparent politician who speaks the truth unfiltered. He comments on government activities more often and takes the people’s stand all the time. His analyses are the most interesting things that the Andhrites always want to hear. Now, Undavalli reveals an unearthed secret on the caste politics in the Andhra Pradesh.
In politics, caste plays an important role. The appetite for community dominance has been seen for ages in Andhra Pradesh. Now, Arun Kumar states that after Independence, the domination of Kamma and Reddy castes is seen in Andhra Pradesh. Actually the people who belong to these two castes are very less in population.
But, Undavalli exposed some amazing statistics that more than 50% of the leaders in the assembly are from these two communities. 27% of the people from one caste and 22% from the other made their way into the assembly so far. This tells us how dominant these two castes are in state politics.
Arun Kumar suggested the political lovers read a book written by a journalist named Kommineni Srinivasa Rao. Especially he stated that the dominance of Kamma caste is unreachable by any other community and said that many foreign universities also submitted the thesis about this caste-based politics.
Undavalli concluded that there is no fault in having extreme love towards their own caste but the biased politics which brings partiality is the most dangerous one that hinders the economic growth of other castes.
